Well I finally felt better and Mitch and I decided to do this thang.

We went with an ABS pipe 4" because Home Lamepot didn't have any threaded caps for a pvc.

Are materials are such:

1 - 4" cap
1 - 4" coupling with a female threaded end
1 - 4" threaded male end cap
1 - Hacksaw to cut to appropriate length
1 - ABS cement to glue it all together
Water

Mitch and I both did a couple 50ft runs back and forth. This thing ended up being just shy of 7ft. We filled it to 2/3 and I'd say it's about 30 lbs or so, as the pipe itself is a couple lbs at least. Trying to keep your balance with it is quite difficult and once the water runs to one end, trying to get it back in line is a bitch.

In the one pic with mitch you will see a little water running out. I did not thread the end all the way as we were just testing. You may require a pipe wrench to tighten it all the way. We are going to keep an eye on evaporation as well.
